Roman Period Burial Complex
The complex is located on the northwestern slope of the Chersonese ravine, built on the foundations of a Hellenistic structure. According to illegal excavation data, it dates from the turn of the 1st/2nd - 5th centuries.
The burial complex in the Roman section of the Necropolis was united chronologically, planigraphically and topographically - along its front northwestern facade ran a road, maintaining its direction from Hellenistic times. The general direction of the road was determined from the Hellenistic Gates and further along and along the slope. After the gates were relocated and the Proteichisma was built, this road was abandoned, and the Necropolis section with it took on privileged features.
